Drake/Freewind

Full Name: Drake Jonathan Paxton-Freewind

Street Name: Drake/‘the Boss’

Age: 25

Background: At the tender age of three, Drake and his older brother Kevin (age 21 at the time), lost their only living parent, their father in a plane crash. Being of legal age to be his younger brother's guardian, Kevin inherited the property owned by his family in New York.

A little over two years later, Kevin dragged his brother and a few of his colleagues (he graduated High School at 14 and finished college as the youngest batch scholar) all the way to the Sahara desert in Northern Africa. He later stumbled upon a relic made of metals and gems of which he had never seen before.

Returning to New York, he studied the relic for six months when a sudden surge of light pulled himself and little Drake (este… Jon) into a portal to a world far from their own.

On Puckworld, the Freewind's, a married couple and scientists in their own right witnessed the coming of the off-worlders to their home planet. Jeanna and Keth Freewind took the two humans in and cared for them, therefore learning of how the two got there. Unfortunately, in the process of Kevin finally finding a way to repeat his discovery, the whole experiment caused his sudden death, therefore leaving Drake (age six at the time) to live as the lone human on Puckworld.

About seven years later, a teenage Drake Freewind, met up with Canard Thunderbeak and the two became fellow schoolmates and good friends. Canard soon introduced his new friend to the Flashblade brothers who welcomed him into their circle of friendship.

After two years, Drake petitioned his foster parents to send him to military school wherein he later met up with a certain Mallory McMallard and won her over (both heart and respect) with his uncanny ability to learn strategies and other forms of battle techniques quickly. A year later, he was transferred to a neighboring training camp, but he vowed to see her again.

Fast forward to the Saurion invasion and to when the strike team was formed. The government had called in the 'Main Weapon'. All the team ever knew before the arrival of this 'weapon' was that he was an off-worlder trained to be the best of commandos. Surprise, surprise when Drake walked off the chopper…

On a mission to free half a thousand slaves meant to be killed as an 'example' of Dragaunus' power, the mine collapsed burying Drake with it. Luckily, he survived and discovered a way to which he could return to his home, his planet. That information however has been kept away by the human from any other living soul.

On with the tale. He managed to find his way back to the Resistance base and there he overheard (unintentionally) a conversation between General McMallard (Mal's dad) and another superior officer. McMallard wanted to send in a team to find Drake… afterall they were in debt for saving not only a hundred more lives, but the Resistance as well. Request denied.

Hurt and angry Drake made a final appearance to the woman he loved before vanishing from the face of Puckworld.

Months later, when the Mighty Ducks and Dragaunus arrived on a planet named Earth; in a city called Anaheim, Drake took the opportunity to put together a team to aid the ducks. He set up a training program designed to choose six of the best. Together with an old friend, Krysta, they created what we now know as STROBE.

Overheard:

"Yeah… whatever you say ladies. Guys? They want us out, they got us out."

"Sheesh. Dive, the eel in the toilet is *so* passe."

"Y'know… Nyre's gotta come and face the music."

Said *of* him:

"Drake? Here?! Alive?!?! You gotta be kiddin' me man! He, like, died on Puckworld, right?" ~ Recollections, Nosedive

"Oh yeah… that's some off-worlder." ~Recollections, young Mallory
